Eight-Layer Casserole
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large skillet, cook the ground beef or turkey over medium heat until it’s browned. Drain any excess fat.
Add the chopped onion and green bell pepper to the skillet with the meat, and cook until they are softened.
Spread the uncooked rice evenly in the bottom of a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
Layer the cooked meat mixture on top of the rice.
Spread the frozen corn and peas over the meat layer.
Pour the tomato sauce and diced tomatoes over the vegetables.
Season the casserole with salt and pepper to taste.
Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour.
