The dryer is useful, especially when the weather is not good for drying clothes outdoors. But not everyone can equip themselves with this appliance due to space or budget constraints. However, there is a trick that allows clothes to dry quickly in humid weather.

While household appliances like the tumble dryer or washer dryer are essential, they are also energy intensive. If you don’t have one and want to save money, you can dry your clothes faster with this simple feature in your washing machine.

The functionality that allows maximum moisture absorption from clothing

Having a dryer at home is not essential. Although quick and convenient, there are many other ways to dry your clothes without using a tumble dryer. These alternatives can be just as quick and effective, and are often more environmentally friendly. They also won’t shrink your clothes! Here’s a washing machine feature that can be very handy for you.

  • The towel and washing machine technique to absorb moisture from clothes

This function is designed to remove excess water from your clothes. To do this, simply keep your clothes in the washing machine while they are still wet after the wash cycle,  program the “spin cycle”  to maximum power and put a dry, thick bath towel in the drum. With this trick, the towel will absorb a large part of the moisture from your laundry.

Tip:  Avoid overfilling the drum of your washing machine. The smaller the amount of laundry, the faster your clothes will dry.

After wringing your clothes in the washing machine using the towel technique, hang them on a drying rack and place it in front of the heater (about a meter or two away to avoid problems with moisture and mold) in a small room that is well ventilated.  The radiator  gives off warm air that dries your clothes better.
