Put vinegar in the toilet tank: you will solve a big problem

– Clean the toilet cistern with white vinegar

The   toilet cistern   is a very important part of your toilet because it contributes to the proper functioning of your flush and therefore of the toilet. Often forgotten, the toilet tank can store rust, scale, mold and bacteria.  These small annoyances can cause bad odors and affect the functioning of the toilet.   With white vinegar you can deeply clean your toilet cistern naturally. For this you need:

  • rubber gloves
  • homemade cleaner
  • Sponge
  • scrubbing brush
  • White vinegar

Use rubber gloves to protect your hands from possible dirt. Place a towel on the floor to place the tank lid on. Without draining the water from the tank, pour white vinegar into the toilet tank. Then, let the vinegar and water mixture sit overnight in   the toilet tank  . By doing so, limescale, rust and mold could dissolve naturally.  The next day, you can flush the toilet as many times as necessary to remove all the vinegar from the tank. Flush the toilet again to completely empty the tank, then turn off the water.

Any dirt that has accumulated on the walls of the water tank will be visible and can be permanently removed with a scrub brush. You can then use a sponge to clean any stubborn marks. If some stains remain, use a homemade cleaning product and spray it on the inside walls of the tank. Let it act on the remaining marks. Then, scrub the last bits with the brush to thoroughly scrub your entire toilet tank. You can turn on the water faucet and flush the toilet.  Clear water should come out of your toilet. Finally, carefully replace the tank cap.

– Clean the toilet bowl with white vinegar

It is no longer a secret, white vinegar is the ideal natural product to carry out your household tasks at home. To clean your toilets and avoid using detergent products, you can also use it to scrub your toilets. Among other things, it will allow you to descale the bottom of the toilet bowl.

To do this, heat ½ liter of white vinegar without boiling and gently pour it over the walls of your toilet. Leave it on for at least an hour or more if you can.  It is best to leave it overnight to make it even more effective.  After letting it sit, use a brush to scrub the walls of the toilet and the bottom of the bowl. This preparation can also be used to clean the toilet seat and seat, as well as the outside of the bowl, the outside of the tank, and the flush button for a spotless clean!
