Tips for cleaning and making your stove burners shine without too much effort

Another trick is to soak the burners in   white vinegar   and let them sit for a few hours or even overnight. Then rub them with a sponge soaked in soapy water, then rinse them and let them dry.

To clean the grills

Cleaning the grills is more delicate, in the sense that these elements clog faster than the others. Start by placing the baskets in the dishwasher first to remove most of the dirt. If this is not enough and the stains persist, immerse the grills in a large container filled with   white vinegar, bicarbonate of soda   and coarse salt. Let the grates rest for 12 hours. Then use a scouring pad and scrub the grates before rinsing them with clean water. They will be like new.

To maintain supports

There is no shortage of burner and plate supports in stainless steel. They suffer as much as the other elements, the dirt during the cooking of your dishes. To clean them   , rub the supports with a sponge previously soaked in water and Marseille soap  . Then rinse with clean water and then dry with a clean cloth before reinstalling them on the stove. Proceed in the same way with the dishes.

Furthermore, we often lose the habit of cleaning stove knobs and if they are not maintained daily, it remains difficult to eliminate the grease that has encrusted on them. All you need to do after each use of your kitchen is to wipe it down with a damp sponge dipped in dishwashing liquid. If they are very dirty,   remove them and soak them in a basin full of hot water and bicarbonate of soda  . Scrub them with a sponge soaked in liquid soap, then rinse and dry them thoroughly before putting them back.

Other tips to simplify stove maintenance

  • Clean the stove plates regularly by wiping them after each use with a soft sponge soaked in water and castile soap, then rinsing them with clean water
  • Clean all corners of the pan to prevent dirt and grease from getting stuck. Otherwise, it becomes difficult to eliminate them.
  • Use coarse salt to replace the scouring sponge and help remove stubborn stains.
