Cracked Heels: Unstoppable Grandma’s Cure

Are your heels dry, damaged and cracked? The skin on the bottom of the feet tends to become dry, rough and cracked. And without regular hydration, the skin on the heel can crack. It is especially at the heel that thick skin forms which cracks… …and then transforms into unsightly and painful cracks. So, how to prevent and treat cracked feet? Here is a lemony technique to make them soft and less cracked!

Ingredients

  • A fairly large lemon, very yellow and not too firm
  • Socks
  • A very nourishing vegetable oil or cream (coconut, argan, etc.)

Instructions

  1. Cut the lemon in half and squeeze both parts (don’t try to remove everything, leave a minimum of pulp to carry out the trick). Reserve the harvested juice for other uses.
  2. Place a lemon half on each heel. Keep it all in place with a pair of socks.
  3. Leave on for around thirty minutes. The best thing is not to try to move and to use this time to relax!
  4. After 30 minutes, remove everything. Your feet will be softer and your heels less hard thanks to the acids contained in lemon and your feet will smell good like lemon.
  5. Finish your treatment by applying a nourishing product to your feet.
