Nothing in the kitchen can be wasted, even what may seem unusable can actually prove to be a valuable help on more than one occasion.

One item that contains many beneficial properties and can be extremely useful is definitely  the banana peel .

Precisely for this reason, the banana peel should not be thrown away, but  can be used  in many ways.

It is well known that most of the peels of many types of fruits are  very useful for health  and, as in this case, being  edible , they can be incorporated into any recipe.

What are the beneficial characteristics of banana peel?

The  beneficial properties  of banana peel include:

Peeling   can be used  to protect and care for the skin . Indeed, once spread on the face, it can make it  hydrated  and  illuminated . In addition, it is a great ally against  wrinkles , it manages to make the  signs of acne disappear  and, after gently massaging it, reduces the  swelling of the eyes .

Of course,  banana peel  is rich in nutrients. It contains  fiber ,  potassium ,  inulin , phenols,  magnesium ,  carotenoids ,  polyphenols  and  vitamins  B6  and  B12 . It can  either be boiled  to add to some fruit smoothies or to make a great infusion and, of course, it can be added to desserts. In addition to this, it can also be eaten  raw  if washed well.
