- Baking soda
Pour two generous tablespoons of baking soda, one tablespoon of salt and a little hot water into the glass. Leave it for about 30 minutes.
This combination will remove limescale deposited on the glass. Remember to wash the glass with detergent and water before drying and storing it.
- White vinegar
Another simple and effective way to remove limescale is a solution of white vinegar and water.
Fill a container with two equal parts vinegar and water, then submerge the glasses in it and let them soak for a few hours. You can even leave the glasses on overnight if necessary.
Finally, rinse and wash the glasses, then dry them well before storing them.
- Toothpaste
Put a little toothpaste inside the glass, spreading it over the entire surface. After a few minutes, rinse the glass well with water and detergent, dry it well and store it.
If none of the solutions to remove the white film from the lenses have worked, the problem is probably not solvable and in this case the only option is to replace them with new lenses.
