Rust on the washing machine: the method to remove it
Once we have put on gloves and a mask, we proceed, by removing the plug from our device, to scraping the parts full of rust with a sponge with steel bristles until the metallic color comes out instead of rust.
Then, with a metal abrasive sponge, remove all remaining residue and the most stubborn rust and wipe with a cloth, preferably microfiber due to its soft consistency, and clean the area thoroughly.
After letting everything dry for five minutes, being very careful not to leave any water marks, apply the paint using a spray can and let it dry until it is just a single layer. with the rest of the washing machine.
In this way we will have our device as new and the rust will be a distant memory because it has been removed and the parts on which it was placed have been repainted using the spray.
However, the washing machine must also be cleaned inside and to do this while saving time we can use white wine vinegar which, in addition to giving off a pleasant smell, tends to disinfect our appliance.
Thanks to its antibacterial and antimicrobial action, it tends to eliminate all germs and bacteria from our washing machine and prevent the formation of mold and rust that could occur due to having kept it closed after washing.
Even the filter of our washing machine must be washed, this must be placed under running water and as for the most difficult to access parts, it is enough to arm yourself with a toothbrush while that the detergent drawer can be washed by taking it apart and using a dishwashing sponge.
In this way we will have a washing machine always ready for use and impeccable that will last over time without showing any signs of deterioration and rust but rather showing itself as new even if we bought it a few years ago .
