So why should we waste it by throwing it down the sink? If this seems like a waste to you, you are sorely mistaken, because you have no idea what you can do  by putting salt down the sink . Let’s find out together.

Why should you throw salt down the sink? The answer

Throw salt

When our goal is to degrease and sanitize, we usually rely on detergents and disinfectants, but without considering that in reality their use could do more harm than good. Have you ever noticed, for example, that some detergents are so harsh  that they clog  drains instead of clearing them when clogged? In addition to the fact that in the long term they cause the stench to spread, leading to the formation of bad odors.

Therefore, if you have a clogged sink, avoid using these products and instead use half a glass of salt to mix with half a glass of vinegar. Pour the solution directly into the drain, which can be the sink or kitchen drain, but also the bidet, bathtub or shower. After that,  cover the sink with a cloth, with the sink stopper itself or with a sponge and leave everything to act for 20/30 minutes.

When the liquid runs out, all you have to do is clean the sink with detergent and hot water, even in small amounts. Try this solution and you will see that your sink will be perfectly  disinfected and will give off a good smell that will last a long time! Another natural salt-based solution can be the combination of coarse salt and baking soda, the effect of which together will be really effective! In fact, a foam will be created which will melt anything that could block your drain.
