In herbal medicine it is widely used in the form of essential oil , berries, dried leaves and cosmetics and is often also found in herbal infusions, made from fresh leaves.

How to make clothes shine again using bay leaf

If you have no intention of throwing away a garment that is still functional but aesthetically shabby and you prefer to save money, this method is undoubtedly for you.
Laurel is a valid assistant in the process of recovering faded clothing , but her action alone is not enough.

In fact, to create a mixture capable of revitalizing the colors of clothing, water and baking soda are also necessary. For the mixture it is necessary to fill a pot of suitable size with water, add about 10 bay leaves and 4 tablespoons of baking soda. The mixture must be placed on the fire and must come to a boil, after which it will be necessary to count 20 minutes of “cooking”, stirring from time to time.

Once 20 minutes have passed, turn off the heat and let the pan and mixture cool. When the mixture has cooled, pour everything into a large bucket and then submerge the garment to be treated. The garment should remain soaked for a full 24 hours, preferably with a weight that prevents it from rising to the surface.

After a whole day you can recover your garment and wash it normally, to rediscover the garment much brighter than before the treatment.
