This ingredient promotes the natural whiteness of clothes and is therefore very useful for whitening faded items or items with pink stains.
Then pour a spoonful into the drum of your washing machine and then wash the items to be recovered. Goodbye pink spots !
Sodium percarbonate
Another remedy that we recommend for whitening clothes that have turned pink is sodium percarbonate . This is an ecological alternative remedy to bleach and is therefore able to bring the garments back to their initial whiteness.
It comes in the form of a white powder and you can use it for both hand and machine washing . In fact, it is also a phenomenon for very stained tea towels :
For white clothes that have become pink , just use a measuring spoon (or two, depending on the load) of percarbonate in the washing machine drum and proceed with a high temperature wash , at least 50 degrees , otherwise the percarbonate will not activate.
If you want to wash by hand , add a measuring spoon to a basin of hot water.
Then add your clothes and leave them to soak for a few hours or even overnight. Then, proceed with the common washing.
Your clothes will return to the shining white color again!
NB Percarbonate is not suitable for microfibre, rayon, silk or wool fabrics. It is also advisable to always use gloves.
Lemon
Lemon is also known for its degreasing and whitening properties , although less effective than the other suggested ingredients.
All you need to do is boil some water with some lemon slices .
Then soaking the faded laundry. Leave it to soak for a few hours and then proceed to wash it as normal. The pink spots will fade away!
How to avoid extinction and heads
Once we understand how to recover white items that have turned pink , let’s see together how to prevent these stains .
Remember, in fact, that prevention is the sure way to avoid having damaged clothing.
First of all, we advise you to be careful when separating your clothes and make sure you only put white items in the washing machine .
Furthermore, also check the washing machine to make sure there are no objects that could damage and fade your clothes. Finally, check if there are any trims or buttons that could stain your clothing.
Always remember to check the care labels on your clothing, as some fabrics may be damaged by excessive soaking and the use of certain ingredients.
