Growing date seeds

Day 28

The roots have become quite long and the leaves will soon appear.
It’s time to put them in the ground (if you haven’t already).
To remove them from the cotton, you must be very careful not to break the root. It will be easier if we soak the core with the cotton in a basin of water. The cotton will become very soft and easy to remove.

Day 35

The leaves have started to appear. You have baby palm trees 🙂

Day 42

The fastest kernels already have very green and robust leaves.
The slowest kernels (put in water for 42 days) are only now starting to show their roots. So remember to put several cores from the start to maximize your chances of seeing small palm trees grow .

Here’s a super-easy DIY that allows you to have date palm trees in a planter or in your garden. You just need a little patience and rigor.
