Super white, stripe-free socks? The trick is not the bleach!

Hand

Simply soak the socks in a bowl of very hot water and then add the juice of one lemon (filtered through a strainer). Then they are left to soak for a while and then rinsed without exaggeration with water.

More specifically, we need:

a cup of lemon juice (250 ml)
a liter of hot water

In the washing machine with vinegar

Another way to keep track of the whiteness of our socks is through vinegar, which is often used instead of bleach to wash clothes. The use is elementary: pour a cup of vinegar into the washing machine tray and then proceed normally with the usual washing program.

But vinegar can also be used on clothing on your hands.

Need:

a cup of white vinegar (250 ml)
half a liter of cold water

Prepare a mixture of white vinegar and water and soak your socks in it for about 45 minutes. After this time, just add a little Marseille soap and rub vigorously.

In the washing machine with baking soda

Finally, you can also use sodium percarbonate, which releases all its whitening power at a temperature of 40 degrees. You just have to add a tablespoon of this substance during washing and that’s it.

If your problem is that white socks turn gray, you finally have the solution!
