Before winter arrives, it is important to insulate your windows to prevent heat loss. Here’s how to achieve this with an inexpensive product, while reducing your energy bills.

Protect windows with thermal film
To properly insulate windows, there is a way which consists of adding a simple thermal film or glazing film. The latter will not only reduce your energy bills, but also improve the thermal comfort of your home.

Simple and easy to install, this insulating film has a thin plastic film which effectively retains heat in the house and therefore reduces the heating bill. It is especially useful on single-glazed windows. Before installing it, it is recommended to clean the windows as you will need double-sided tape to properly adhere the plastic film. Generally, the tape is supplied with the insulating film. Next, you will place the adhesive tape all around the window frame then cut the film to the size corresponding to the panes and windows. To apply it properly, you can use a hairdryer, holding it a few centimeters from the plastic film, this will prevent creases from forming.
