Once you have reached this length, remove the stakes and the water, and transplant the avocado into a pot filled with universal potting soil. It will take about a month to develop the first leaves.

The   avocado   must be transplanted into the ground in spring. It needs a lot of water, to be poured every time the soil surface becomes dry. You can add an organic fertilizer to optimize results.

Avocado takes about 6 years to bear fruit. It takes a lot of patience, but the results will be satisfactory.
