This year again, the Dirty Dozen, the terrible dozen, was published: the EWG , acronym for Environmental Working Group, an American non-profit organization active in the protection of the environment, established the ranking of fruits and vegetables to determine the quantity of pesticides present.
Strawberries won the gold medal and placed first in the 2023 Dirty Dozen . Unfortunately, if they come from traditional, non-organic crops, they are treated with chemical additives, which by their very nature tend to absorb like sponges.
