This is the only way to remove pesticides from strawberries, but we are all wrong!

I do this to wash strawberries to get rid of pesticides

Always wash strawberries before eating them. Don’t do it in advance! Even if you dry them very well, humidity accelerates their rotting.

That said, there are at least 3  procedures for eliminating pesticides when they are present  (we can only be sure of their absence by purchasing organic products or growing them ourselves!),  there are at least <>.

The first is to use  water  and  salt:  dissolve a teaspoon in a hot cup and let cool completely, then soak the strawberries for two minutes, then rinse them under the tap. This solution also allows you to rid them of midges and insects.

But that’s not the only way: you can also make a mixture of  red wine  and  vinegar.  Dilute a glass of water in half and let them settle for ten minutes. The slightly alcoholic acidic solution will completely avoid the presence of toxic substances.

Finally, there is also a method to wash strawberries with water and  baking soda:  one tablespoon is enough for each liter  of water . Place the fruit in a bowl and let it sit for about 15 minutes. Then rinse them one by one and only remove the stem once dry!

Remember that none of these operations is a waste of time, but an investment in health!
