Some owners of gas stoves often forget that a large amount of old fat and soot accumulates on the grates. Over time, such gratings take on a deplorable appearance – constant use of the stove takes its toll.
A regular sponge is unlikely to get rid of a thick layer of carbon deposits. However, for several years now I have been using one magical remedy that helps me clean the grate of a gas stove in a matter of minutes. The product is perfect for both cast iron and any other grate.
The secret is simple – in dishwasher tablets
Place a pan of water on the heat and add two dishwasher tablets to it. Wait until the solution boils.
Then place the gas stove grate in the boiling solution. Continue to maintain the water temperature for 30 minutes.
