Washing tip for soft and fluffy towels

You can also use sodium bicarbonate to make softer towels. Just mix half a cup of sodium bicarbonate with homemade Marseille soap detergent. Sodium bicarbonate makes it possible not only to soften textiles, but also to eliminate bad odours.

When washing, it is important not to use water that is too hot to prevent the fibres from sticking. In addition, by ironing the towels and shaking them vigorously before drying them, you can make sure that the fibers unravel and that the towels become particularly soft. The solution is simpler than you think: replace the softener with white vinegar. This amazing home remedy, which is often found in our kitchens, can, with a little laundry, give your towel an unexpected softness. The acetic acid in white vinegar may remove excess detergent and deposits in the fibers of the fabric, which may affect the absorption capacity of the towels.
