No one likes to see their house literally invaded by ants, spiders, flies or even scorpions. Some of these animals are harmless, but their presence, in addition to being very troublesome, can cause other problems such as the spread of bacteria.
Flies, in fact, are very dirty creatures, which feed and reproduce with faecal or decaying organic matter. And to say that when they enter our homes, they also rely on our food.
Fortunately, there are plants that help us take these insects away from our homes and that are a valid alternative to insecticides, which, although effective, are loaded with chemical compounds that are toxic to our health.
Eucalyptus
If you are afraid of spiders, this plant is one of the most effective repellents for keeping them away. According to a 2018 study, eucalyptus oil is one of the most potent natural repellents against spiders.
