Let’s make an incredibly tasty and refreshing homemade kvas, which is not inferior to the kvas of the trade. The simplicity of this recipe will surprise you pleasantly and you probably already have all the necessary ingredients in your kitchen.
First, boil the water and pour it into a large bowl or saucepan.
Add 2 tablespoons of chicory, half a teaspoon of citric acid and 4 to 5 tablespoons of sugar in hot water. Mix thoroughly until the ingredients are completely dissolved.

Allow the mixture to cool until it is warm, approximately at the temperature appropriate for the dough.
After cooling, add half a teaspoon of dry yeast to the liquid and mix well again.
