You will surely have noticed that the pressure of the water coming out of the shower head is always lower, perhaps attributing the phenomenon to a problem that affects the entire house or condominium.In reality, most of the time this problem is caused by the accumulation of limescale between the holes in the shower head . Some of these holes even end up completely blocked, preventing the water from flowing out.Fortunately, it is possible to solve this problem with some DIY tricks which, in addition to cleaning the surface of the shower head , allow us to unclog the holes and return to having optimal water pressure.
To clean a fixed shower head :
- Fill a plastic bag halfway with vinegar.
- Place the shower head in the plastic bag and secure it with a tie.
- Leave the shower head to soak overnight.
- The next morning, remove the bag and scrub the shower head with a toothbrush.
- Finally, open the faucet and let the water run for a few minutes.
