Dangerous errors when using electric kettles that you must dispose of immediately

Boil water constantly
Many people make the mistake of thinking that boiling water constantly saves energy when the kettle is already hot. Burning water continuously makes the heating element of the electric kettle too hot, leading to rapid combustion. It is preferable to allow the kettle to stand between the boiling sessions to cool the heating element.

In many cases, if you boil water for a prolonged period of time, the thermal relay will automatically cut off the kettle from feeding, even if it is connected and the light is not lit. You will have to wait a while until the kettle cools before you can use it again.

Boil water above the level specified by the manufacturer
If you boil too much water, it may cause the boiling water to overflow from the kettle, run on the heating element and cause an electrical short circuit. On the other hand, if you boil too little water, boiling water is more likely to evaporate quickly, leading to the risk that the kettle is drying out and potentially causes overheating, electric short circuits, which can be very dangerous.

All electric kettles will have minimum and minimum water level markings needed to boil. The markings are generally indicated by horizontal lines and are measured in millilitres.

In addition to digital markings, there are also “Max” and “Min” labels (representing the maximum and minimum levels). You can easily observe these markings on the body of the kettle to adjust the water level accordingly.

Do not cover or close the lid when cooking water

This error not only wastes electricity but also takes longer to boil the water. Electric kettles are designed with an automatic stop function that activates only when the kettle cover is closed securely. Therefore, if the boiling of the water is not interrupted, this poses a high risk of explosion, damaging the kettle.
