Introduction: Silicone plays a crucial role in our bathrooms, preventing water from infiltrating through bathtub and shower cracks, avoiding the formation of moulds and fungi. However, over time, silicone can become a breeding ground for mould, making cleaning an arduous task. Fortunately, Jessica, from This Blessed Life, shares an effective solution that requires only two simple elements: rolls of cotton and bleach.
Disposal of the Silicone Moisture: Jessica suggests using rolls of cotton, which are frayed cotton balls in a long strip. The cotton is soaked in bleach and applied to the silicone. To avoid contact of the skin with bleach, it is recommended to use a cotton ball to squeeze the cotton roll. Wearing rubber gloves is also recommended. In addition, it is crucial to ventilate the part by turning on a fan or by opening a window when the solution is working, at least for a few hours.
Effective cleaning: After the allotted time, remove the rollers of cotton and clean the surface with a damp cloth. Jessica says that since the adoption of this method of cleaning, the mold has not returned. If you also have this problem in your bathroom, it is worth trying this simple but effective method.
