Preparation:
1. In a large bowl, add milk, 2 tablespoons sugar, yeast, salt, egg, flour and butter.
2. Mix all the ingredients with your hands and knead the dough.
3. Cover and let rise in a warm place for about 45 minutes.
4. Take the dough out of the ball, flatten it a little and divide it into 12 equal parts.
5. Form round dough balls with your hands.
6. Roll out the ball into a long, thin sausage shape. Fold the ends over each other.
7. Then continue folding to create a braided donut.
8. Cover and let rest for about 30 minutes.
9. In a cast iron skillet over medium heat, heat enough oil to fry. Add the donuts and fry until golden brown.
10. Flip the donuts over and fry on the other side until golden brown and cooked through.
11. Sprinkle with sugar.
12. Enjoy your best homemade fried donuts.
