Cleaning my face with sodium bicarbonate once a week, in addition to my hair, has become a ritual performed naturally. Until the day my husband noticed that my face was visibly cleaner. Without expecting a particular result, I had incorporated sodium bicarbonate into my routine.
Like anyone with acneic, oily skin and with black spots, I have tried almost every commercial product. For 15 years, I’ve tried any new magic lotion on the market, and yet none has managed to clean my skin.
Until I start rubbing my face with a little sodium bicarbonate.
Here’s how to get rid of your black spots
You will need:
– 1 tablespoon of sodium bicarbonate
– Humidifying your face
1. Make sure your face is clean. I don’t use facial cleansers. Instead, I wash my face with water several times a day.
2. Humidify your face. A shower seems to me the best way to do that. Hot water dilates the pores.
3. 3. Take the sodium bicarbonate with your moist fingers and start massaging the face with circular motions. Do not press too hard, massage gently. Focus on the areas where the black dots are concentrated – the forehead, nose, chin, etc.
4. Scrub for 30 seconds and rinse. Avoid leaving sodium bicarbonate on your skin for a long time, it would not make it more effective and may irritate your skin.
