Are you in the habit of throwing away lemon seeds? If so, you might be missing out on their valuable applications. Lemons are not only known for their distinct flavor and versatility in cooking and cleaning, but their seeds hold immense benefits as well. In this article, we will uncover the various ways you can make the most of lemon seeds.
Maximizing the Benefits

When you finish using a lemon, take a moment to salvage the seeds. Give them a rinse with room temperature water and allow them to dry on a paper towel. Once they are dry, gently peel off the outer layer of skin using tweezers.

Now, it’s time to plant the seeds. Grab a small container, like a yogurt pot, and fill it with damp cotton. Plant the seed in the cotton and leave it there for at least a week. After seven days, you will notice a tiny shoot emerging from the seed.

Keep the cotton and the surrounding area moist to encourage further growth. When the shoot begins to develop tiny roots, transfer it to a small pot filled with a mixture of soil and perlite. Make sure the soil is consistently moist and place the pot in a warm, well-lit area. With proper care, you will soon have your very own lemon tree that will yield delicious fruits.
