There’s no need to run to the supermarket to buy the latest bleach-based chemical cleaner. Forget tablets to dissolve in water for unprecedented efficiency. To clean your toilets you just have to take a walk through the kitchen that contains a secret ingredient, an effective product known and recognized by any self-respecting good house fairy. You’re almost there. Move over to these bottles containing a clear liquid. It’s white vinegar , that grail that, under no circumstances, should leave the house. It’s a multi-purpose cleaner, degreaser, stain remover, eco-friendly and economical deodorant.
Aside from being a perfect ingredient for dressing your salads, white vinegar is your cleaning ally. It helps clean your home while making sure it doesn’t put a dent in your budget. The acidity of vinegar dissolves limescale and kills germs, bacteria, and mold.
It is very important to opt for distilled white vinegar . An apple cider vinegar could leave brown marks on your toilet bowl. While its cleaning power is just as good as white vinegar, what we want to avoid is staining the toilet bowl.
Pick up a spray bottle from your cupboard. It can be an old product that has been completely consumed or an empty bottle sold commercially. Pour distilled white vinegar into the bottle until it is half full and top up the rest with water.
Spray the mixture into the toilet bowl and let it sit for a few minutes. About ten minutes is usually enough to thoroughly clean the bowl when treated regularly. For more effective action on surfaces that are cleaned less frequently, let the product sit for several hours or overnight .
After letting the mixture sit and work for a while, it’s time for the toilet brush to get into the ring. When it comes to dirt, it doesn’t hurt. White vinegar is your ally . Together they will fight toilet rings, yellow and brown bottoms of the bowl and remove limescale from the bowl. All you have to do is rub it and you’ll notice the result instantly. Flush the toilet and admire the result.
