You can also use white vinegar to make your own cleaning gel, a natural product to descale your toilets.

You don’t need to buy your cleansing gel. Keep the bottle empty and fill it with a preparation you have designed yourself.

For this you will need the following ingredients:

– 500 ml of white vinegar
– 500 ml of water
– 4 tablespoons of potato starch or cornstarch. This ingredient will serve as a binder.
– A few drops of lemon, eucalyptus, lavender or tea tree essential oil if you want your toilet to smell nice.

To make your white vinegar cleaning gel, just follow these instructions:

1. Boil the mixture of water (440 ml) and white vinegar for a few minutes in a saucepan.
2. In a bowl, dilute the cornstarch in about 60 ml of water.
3. Then pour the diluted binder into the pan. Mix well with a whisk.
4. When the mixture is more consistent, let it cool.
5. Add the essential oil. This step is optional.
6. Then pour the mixture into your old empty bottle of body wash. Don’t forget to shake it before each use.

To conclude, don’t always rely on the different products offered each year by manufacturers. According to their slogans, they are always stronger, cleaner, more efficient… But there is no better option than products such as vinegar, bicarbonate, black soap or Marseille soap. All of these products are almost zero waste.  These products have proven their worth and no longer need to brag  … the results speak for themselves.
