Using my wire cutters, I snipped each prong of the pumpkin where it meets the frame at the top. I tried to get as close as possible.

I found this set of buffalo check beads on Amazon a while ago and it sparked the idea for this project!! (Yes, even in the heat of July I was thinking about what Fall projects I was going to teach you!!)
They have gone up a few dollars since I purchased them…but you know Amazon the prices fluctuate daily.
This project uses 132 of the 200 beads in the bag.

OK, this part is so easy…it reminded me of playing with an abacus!
I used the same pattern throughout the wire pumpkin: natural, white, gray, buffalo, black.
All you have to do is run the beads down the wire.

When I got to the last bead on each row, I added a drop of hot glue in the hole, put it on the wire, then added hot glue on the top of the bead( and the small piece of exposed wire) and attached it to the frame.
What I found worked best was to attach it right NEXT to where I originally snipped it from…that little remnant of wire left on the frame made it difficult to attach it in the same spot. You won’t be able to tell when it’s finished!!

Also, make sure that you are gluing each row as you finish it. (I didn’t the 1st time and all the beads rolled right off when I started the next row…it was a “duh” moment for sure!!!)
