First, you need to heat up the surface of the iron. Turn the iron on to the highest temperature and wait for it to heat up. If you have automatic steam activated, deactivate it! First, the steam can burn you and second, the surface of the iron must be dry.

Since the tablet is quite small and the surface of the iron is hot, it is better to use tweezers. Hold the tablet with them and at the same time rub the surface of the iron.

The aspirin or paracetamol dissolves and, in doing so, you get rid of the carbon deposits. Simply remove the dissolved carbon deposits with the cloth and you will become a happy owner of a clean iron. That’s the whole trick!

It is best if you keep the window open during cleaning and let the room air out thoroughly.
