If the dirt does not come away, try to add a little baking soda to have an even stronger descaling action.
How to clean an oven encrusted with vinegar
Before you start, get the vinegar, a soft cloth and a sponge. The latter does not necessarily have to be abrasive, but it may be necessary if the fat does not come away.
The first thing to do is to remove the grids from the oven and clean them with undiluted vinegar. Use a sponge to make sure you reach all the dirt, then soak them for about thirty minutes in a solution consisting of two parts of vinegar and two parts of water.
Meanwhile, dip a cloth into a solution consisting of two equal parts of vinegar and water and use it to clean the interior surfaces of the oven. Use the sponge on the hardest dirt, and add a little baking soda if the fat doesn’t come away.
Vinegar will also help prevent the future accumulation of grease on the inner surfaces of the oven.
Once the cleaning is completed, leave the oven door open to dry it well, after which the oven will be ready to be used.
Other tips for cleaning the oven
If once finished using it, the oven has become dirty, spread some salt inside while it is still hot. Once cooled, it will be easier to remove dirt with a cloth wet in the vinegar.
The outside of the oven can also be cleaned with vinegar, water and a soft cloth.
