The fava beans of the dead are small Italian sweets prepared on the occasion of Ognissanti and the Commemoration of the Dead, widespread in different Italian regions with local variants. They are simple biscuits, similar to small pastries, which owe their name to the shape and texture that recall the seed of the beans, a symbolic food linked to the cult of the dead.
