Even the “sweet blood” attracts. Mosquitoes avoid people with more bacteria on their skin, and they prefer those who tend to have less.

The lactic acid that we emit when we breathe or through sweat attracts mosquitoes. Higher people and women pregnancy emit more lactic acid, and they are favorite prey for mosquitoes.
