Leather sandals. Leather is a delicate material, and it is necessary to know if our sandals are made with treated leather. Just drop a drop of water on the leather sandals: if it slips away, it is leather treated.
To clean the leather sandals you can use baking soda, but if it is treated you need to remove it with a cloth moistened with water and vinegar. This combination can work wonders on this material. Leave the baking soda for an internal day before removing it.
Sandals made of plastic. Most of this type of footwear can be washed in the washing machine and does not need special care. If the stains do not come away, apply a few drops of tea tree oil: it is very effective against fungi and bacteria that cause bad odors.
Sandals of cork. Cleaning this type of sandals and making them last a long time is easy. You need hot water, a bristle brush and a specific cork soap. Apply the soap on the sandals, then wet the brush and rub lightly, without putting too much pressure. Once finished, rinse with cold water and let it dry. Remember that the cork is waterproof.
