How to get rid of garden mice without chemicals: the remedy to keep them away

The natural solution to a rat infestation is nothing more than a plant  . That’s right, the castor oil plant can help you solve the problem of mice in your vegetable garden or in your garden. The castor oil plant (Ricinus communis) is a perennial herbaceous plant that belongs to the Euphorbiaceae family. This type of plant  can reach a height of about 2 meters  and is native to Africa and Asia. Its seeds, known as castor oil, are rich in oil and have a globular shape.

They are edible when processed to produce oil, but  the plant itself is toxic, especially the pure, unprocessed seeds  . It is estimated that  3 or 5 seeds would be lethal to an adult human  , as their toxins are very dangerous. Therefore, they can easily be transformed into a very useful repellent to keep mice away, as long as no other animals come into contact with them.

The most dangerous part of the seeds is enclosed inside them,  so handling them with the shell on is not dangerous. However, we still need to be careful and use tools that will never be reused for anything else, even if they are well washed. It is necessary to take some seeds and dry them. Once dried, you will have to crush them and arrange them to mix them with foods that will be attractive to your guests. Remember to never use those tools again.
