This herb is a shrub native to the Mediterranean region and belongs to the Lauraceae family. In the Middle Ages, laurel berries crowned the heads of those who had passed their test called bacca laurea [note: laurel berries]. But bay leaves are not only a symbol of victory, they can also be useful to you in everyday life.

If you like consuming bay leaves in infusion or massage oils, know that despite   its many benefits, it  is not recommended  for pregnant or breastfeeding women, but also   for   children under 6 years old . Besides bay leaf, there are other tricks to scent your home

If the bay leaf effectively deodorizes the oven, you can also opt for another solution: citrus peel. Whether lemon, clementines or grapefruit, these ingredients will deeply perfume your oven and spread a subtle and pleasant scent throughout the home. To do this, you need to place them in the device in aluminum foil. Let it rise in the oven at 200 degrees for a quarter of an hour. Open the oven door and enjoy the festive scent in your home.
