Let’s see what the causes could be.
- Maturity of the plant: if the plant is young, it is not yet able to produce flowers. In fact, only mature plants flower, so not those that have just been planted or propagated.
- Season: for plants, seasonality is fundamental, and must be respected. When it comes to lemons, the blooming season falls in spring and early fall, when temperatures are appropriate.
- Nutrients: A well-fed plant is healthy and strong and can grow, so also produce flowers. These nutrients can be supplemented by the use of natural fertilizers.
- Light: Sun exposure also plays a key role. If the plant is placed in the shade, it will have a hard time flowering, as lemon needs at least 5 to 6 hours of direct light per day.
- Water: This plant needs a lot of water to grow. However, it is necessary to find a balance to prevent too much water from damaging it further.
- Insects: as with all plants, even lemons can fall victim to insects that harm their health. For this reason, it is important to protect it with organic pesticides.
