If you are not used to using vinegar, you can use citric acid. Before use dilute the acid in hot water: 75 g of acid per 1/2 liter of water. You can also add essential oil here. Mix well and take 100 ml of solution to be poured into the machine compartment before starting washing.
Baking soda combined with Marseille soap
You can also mix 1 tablespoon of baking soda with 2 tablespoons of liquid soap (Marseille soap). Add the mixture into the detergent compartment and operate the machine.
Salt has properties that allow it to eliminate bad odors. You can then put it in water and pour the solution into the machine before starting the cycle (10 g of salt per 1 liter of water). Add the essential oil you prefer to give towels and bathrobes a pleasant scent.
The lemon
If you mix 5 liters of water and 600 ml of lemon juice, you will give your laundry an indescribable fresh scent. Just soak the towels in the mixture before putting them in the washing machine.
Choose this last tip for the white laundry because the lemon has lightening properties.
