Keep fruit, vegetables and other perishable foods in hermetically sealed containers. This prevents midges from accessing their sources of food and also helps to preserve the freshness of your products.
4. Solving leaks and drainage problems:
The midge are attracted to moisture, so it’s crucial to repair leaks in your kitchen. Make sure that sinks, taps and pipes are free of drops or excess water. In addition, clean and disinfect the drains of the sink regularly to remove any organic residue that may attract the midwives.
5. Use of natural repulsives:
Incorporate natural deterrents to keep the midges away. Place the apple cider vinegar bowls mixed with a few drops of dish soap on your kitchen counters. The perfume of the vinegar attracts midges, while the soap disturbs the surface tension of the liquid, causing them to drown.
