Ingredients:
Baking soda
White vinegar
Dish soap (preferably a gentle one)
Hydrogen peroxide
Microfiber cloths
Warm water
Essential oils (optional, for fragrance)
Mop (preferably with a microfiber head)
Bucket
Sponge
Commercial tile cleaner (optional)
Instructions:
Basic Cleaning with Soap and Water:
For regular cleaning, mix a small amount of mild dish soap with warm water in a bucket. Use a mop or sponge to clean your tiles. For floors, a microfiber mop is ideal because it traps dirt without leaving streaks. This is the first step to maintain tiles between deeper cleans.
Baking Soda Scrub for Grout:
Grout can be one of the most challenging parts of cleaning tiles, especially when it gets stained. A simple solution is to mix baking soda with a little water to form a paste. Apply this paste to the grout lines and let it sit for 10–15 minutes. Use a toothbrush or a small brush to scrub the grout gently, then rinse it off with warm water. This method will remove dirt and stains while brightening the grout.
