AUSTRALIAN FARMER FINDS GIANT EGG
Like every morning, this Australian farmer came to the chicken coop to collect his fresh eggs when he discovered a gigantic one among all the others. This find, three times larger than normal and weighing 175 grams, defied all the laws of nature. Located on the Atherton Tablelands in northern Queensland, Stockman’s Eggs farm was home to, judging by the size of the discovery, an extraordinary farm hen. The latter had laid an enormous egg, challenging all logic.

At first glance, the size of the egg was already surprising. But what was inside would prove to be even more extraordinary, attracting the curiosity of the scientific community. The farmer, showing his discovery on social networks, commented: “One of our free-range girls has been working overtime”. For comparison, the standard weight is about 58 grams. The discovery of an egg inside the first one further complicated the mystery. This rare case left even poultry experts perplexed.

Never before had such a scenario been observed, according to Raf Freire, professor at Charles Sturt University. This case raised a new question about the secrets of nature. He proposed an explanation: the hen had laid an egg as usual, but had not completed the usual process, thus creating this exceptional phenomenon. “The egg was formed around the old and the new egg,” explained the professor. This case was very strange and, to his knowledge, unique. Even with its unusual appearance, the giant egg was perfectly edible. Imagine having to break only one egg to prepare an omelette for the whole family!
