Rachael Ray recently shared an update regarding her health after a video surfaced online last month, sparking concern when it appeared she was slurring her words.

During the inaugural episode of her podcast, “I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead,” the well-known chef disclosed that she has been recovering from a few injuries she sustained while performing routine household tasks, tasks she described as being both cherished and physically engaging.

“I’m a homemaker at heart. I relish chores. I find joy in the kitchen,” Ray expressed candidly on the podcast. “My mind is always active, always creating, whether I’m writing or brainstorming, but I take equal pleasure in hands-on work.”

Rachael Ray addresses health concerns after viral slurred speech video “I genuinely enjoy what others might deem ‘manual labor,’” she continued. “Planning meals, preparing them, compiling lists—it’s a rhythm I thrive in. And I love the physicality of it all, like helping to bring in the wood for the fire.”

She humorously added that she often engages in silent competition with her husband, John. “‘How many logs did John haul in? Can I carry more?’ It’s an unspoken challenge I have with myself,” she admitted.

At 56, Ray explained that she had to momentarily step back from this beloved physical activity, revealing she had endured “a couple of nasty tumbles” in recent weeks.
