- Peel the ginger root, cut it into small pieces.
- In a salad bowl, put your small pieces of ginger, your sugar (one tbsp or more depending on your taste) as well as your lemon (I put half a lemon but again this can vary depending on taste) then add more the water.
- Leave the mixture for 1 hour or more.
- Mix everything and use a strainer to remove the small pieces of remaining ginger.
