No matter how long you spend putting the house in order: it only takes a few seconds to create chaos again, especially if you live with other people. From clothes to objects, it often happens to have everything in disarray.

Below we suggest a very simple and very effective method to have the house always in order. It is called the 5s method, it was designed in Japan and is one of the most effective in this regard.

The 5s method was initially designed to keep companies in order, in order to keep the work spaces clean and well organized, and improve the productivity of employees.

Given the success of the method, it was also adopted for the management of domestic spaces. The 5s method is named after the Japanese words on which the method itself is based.

1. Seiri: Classification

The first S of the 5s method to put the house in order is Seiri, which means classification and which implies, as the name suggests, classify the necessary and non-needed objects. If you tend to accumulate objects, the first step is to learn to “let them go”, and get out of everything you keep but don’t need. The principle is simple: dedicate a space of the house exclusively to the objects you use and that you need.
