Add the Other Ingredients:
Add 1 cup of white vinegar and 1 tablespoon of dish soap to the bucket. Stir well to combine.
Sprinkle Baking Soda:
Generously sprinkle baking soda over the carpet area you’re cleaning. This will help neutralize odors and loosen dirt.
Apply the Cleaning Solution:
Using a clean cloth or sponge, apply the cleaning solution to the carpet. Scrub gently in circular motions, making sure to cover all stained areas.
Let It Sit:
Allow the solution to sit for 10-15 minutes so the ingredients can break down stains and dirt.
Extract the Cleaner:
Use a wet/dry vacuum to extract the cleaning solution and any loosened dirt from the carpet.
Rinse & Vacuum Again:
Rinse the area with clean water and vacuum once more to remove any remaining cleaning solution.

Why This Cleaner Is So Effective:

Oxiclean lifts stains with its oxygen-boosted cleaning power.
Vinegar breaks down grime and neutralizes odors.
Baking Soda absorbs lingering smells and adds a mild abrasive quality that helps scrub the carpet.
Dish Soap helps break down grease and oily stains.
Warm Water allows the solution to penetrate deep into carpet fibers.

Tip:

Keep this recipe handy for regular carpet maintenance or to tackle those unexpected spills and stains. It’s gentle on your carpet but tough on dirt, and it’s a lot easier on your wallet than store-bought cleaners!
