React in case of imminent danger
If a car suddenly comes in front of you after a poorly judged overtaking move, every second counts . Here are the right reflexes to adopt:
- Indicate your intentions. Immediately activate your turn signal to signal your path to other drivers. This helps avoid general panic .
- Use your horn. The other driver may not have seen you. A loud signal can make him aware of the danger and prompt him to react .
- Do not brake abruptly. Braking too abruptly can cause you to lose control and make the situation worse. Gradually reduce your speed while looking for an escape route.
