A repellent to combat ants
To prepare your natural insecticide, you will need:
An empty cream jar
1 tablespoon boric acid
1 tablespoon powdered sugar
Some crumbs of food
1st step
Poke about 20 holes in your empty cream jar or any other similar container.
2nd stage
Mix boric acid, powdered sugar and a little warm water. Stir until you obtain a homogeneous mixture.
3er paso
Place the food crumbs in the fresh cream jar, then pour the sugar and boric acid mixture on top.
4th stage
Place the container in a strategic place in your house or where ants usually pass through.
This sweet product will attract them to finally trap them in the pot.
Other natural methods to get rid of ants
coffee grounds
To ward off these pests that invade your home, you can opt for coffee grounds . This insect repellent is a true ant exterminator and can free you from their nests forever. Fill containers with ground coffee and place them near doors and windows to repel ants.
Cinnamon
This grandmother’s remedy has the advantage of quickly scaring away ants. Simply place cinnamon powder on the path of these small insects to exterminate them. You can also place cinnamon sticks in various places in your house.
Chalk
Chalk is an effective barrier against ants. Draw a line with chalk along your doors, on your windows or on your terraces to prevent ants from entering inside. You can also crush the chalk and sprinkle this rock powder in different places.
Lavender
Ants can’t stand the smell of lavender. Place bunches of lavender near each entrance to keep ants away. If you prefer, use a spray and spray a few drops of lavender essential oil to perfume your interior and eradicate the ants.
The lemon
The acidity of the lemon puts an end to the ant invasion and dislodges the anthills. Cut a lemon into slices and place them in strategic places in your home.
