360 grams of walnuts with shells
200 grams of walnut kernels
Amount of water needed
3 tablespoons of honey
120 grams of dark chocolate
120 grams of white chocolate
2 tablespoons of grated coconut
Step-by-step preparation
Step 1: Preparation of nuts
In a small saucepan, place the nuts with their shells and cover them with water. We carry the saucepan to the fire and let it boil for about 10 minutes. Once the time has elapsed, we remove the nuts from the hot water and break the shells to reveal their precious nuclei. Let us not forget to separate about 6 walnuts for the final decoration.
Step 2: Crawling the walnuts
Once the walnuts are peeled and ready, we take a wide-edged knife and start chopping them manually, obtaining a uniformly crushed texture. Once all the nuts are chopped, we transfer them to a container and add the tablespoons of grated coconut and honey. We mix carefully to obtain a homogeneous combination. If we prefer, we can use gloves for more comfortable and effective handling of the ingredients.
Step 3: Moulding of the bites
With the mix of walnuts, coconuts and well-maljudged honey, small round portions, similar to tempting bites, are carved. We reserve these shapes as we move on to the next steps.
