A very crispy bread on the outside, soft on the inside... a real pleasure. But after a day, it becomes dry or rubbery. Rather than seeing it harden too quickly, apply these bakers' tips to prolong its coolness without fridge or preservatives.
-
Choosing the right type of bread
Not all loaves are kept in the same way. Long-folithed breads, such as leavened bread or full breads, remain soft for longer thanks to a better distribution of moisture. Unlike industrial breads, they dry less quickly and retain a pleasant texture for several days.

Avoid plastic, opt for cotton or flax
The common reflex is to store your bread in a plastic bag, but that's a mistake. This material traps moisture, making the crust soft and promoting mould.
